Amber Benson, an American singer-songwriter director and producer is also a writer. Most famously, she is best known for her character in her role in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also produced, directed and appeared in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Additionally, she was Bride in Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born January 8 1977 in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is the younger sibling, and she's an artist. The father of Benson was Jewish, and while her mother was a Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. She grew up going to an Reform congregation in Alabama.
